*The GMAC Bowl *will host the following events for the competing teams participating in the Bowl Game – Bowling Green and Tulsa. For more information, visit www.gmacbowl.com. On Saturday, Jan. 5 at 6:30 p.m., the Greer’s Food Tiger/Yellow Tail Mardi Gras Parade will ride through the streets of downtown Mobile. Following the parade will be the Spectronics Fireworks Display, Party and Pep Rallies at 8:30 p.m. The GMAC Bowl game will be played on Sunday, Jan. 6 at 7 p.m. at Ladd-Peebles Stadium between the Bowling Green Falcons and the Tulsa Golden Hurricanes. Presented by BankTrust, the Mobile Area Chamber’s 171st Annual Meeting will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 15 at the Mobile Civic Center. Beginning promptly at 6 p.m. the event’s program will introduce the Chamber’s 2008 Chairman of the Board and take a look back at the area’s accomplishments and acknowledge local businesses contributions. The evening concludes with the area’s largest networking reception featuring 13 restaurants and caterers showcasing their culinary masterpieces. Tickets are $45 per person or $425 for a table of 10.
