Pocket Reader’s Theatre – Radio Show
Where: Joe Jefferson Playhouse (11 S. Carlen St.)
When: Jan. 27, 2 p.m.
In a time before television, electronic media reached out in a manner more akin to literature than traditional theater with work that effectively employed the listeners’ imagination as much as the actors’ talents.
Alabama’s oldest continuing troupe is bringing some of that magic back with this new foray into drama, the Pocket Reader’s Theatre. The offerings for this first Sunday afternoon include classic scripts from Abbott & Costello and Burns & Allen shows.
Entrance is $5.
