Heard from the singer at a local bar between songs:

Singer (looking out and seeing two people in wheelchairs in the audience):

“Hey, you two should joust!”

He then proceeded to try to get others in the bar to bring the wheelchair-bound patrons two pool sticks so they could joust.



Dec. 22 at the Winn Dixie on Catherine and Government

Lady # 1 in express lane to cashier: Happy Holidays

Lady#2 in express lane to Lady #1: You know it’s ok to say Merry Christmas.

Lady #1(in rage) to Lady #2: Well I guess it would be ok for me if I were part of the religious right, but I’m not a part of the religious right so it’s ok for you to say Merry Christmas and it’s ok for me to say Happy Holidays.

Lady #2: Sorry.

Lady# 1 to Lady #2 as she stomps out the door, rolling her eyes: Happy Holidays

Cashier (unfazed) to Lady #2: You gotcha your Winn Dixie card?

Just before the Tuesday, Jan. 10 council meeting was adjourned, Councilman Ben Brooks (D4) complimented assistant city clerk Lisa Lambert on her “slick” performance at running the meeting. Then he went on to say it was “smooth and fast, the way Reggie (Copeland) likes it.”
