Austal names new VP

Austal USA has tapped Dan Brintzinghoffer to lead business development and external affairs for the company, bringing a background closely aligned with the defense shipbuilder’s legacy on the Mobile River. 

The company announced Jan. 13 that Brintzinghoffer will join Austal USA from the Washington DC-Baltimore Area, effective Feb. 9. He will succeed Larry Ryder, who has held the office for the past five years. Brintzinghoffer has more than 30 years in the defense contracting industry, and most recently served as senior vice president of growth and strategy for national security firm Leidos.
