Alabama’s congressional redistricting fight is back before the nation’s highest court, as the state’s top elections official is pushing for a swift lifting of an injunction holding court-ordered maps in place.

Secretary of State Wes Allen has filed a motion with the U.S. Supreme Court seeking expedited consideration of the state’s redistricting case following the court’s decision in Louisiana v. Callais.
