A Republican candidate for governor has filed an ethics complaint against Sen. Tommy Tuberville, alleging he used campaign money for personal travel tied to his Florida Panhandle residence.

In a complaint filed Thursday, April 2, Ken McFeeters, a GOP challenger from Bessemer, asked the Alabama Ethics Commission to investigate about $3,600 in travel-related expenses paid from Tuberville’s gubernatorial campaign account to cover airport fees, a shuttle trip and gasoline around Destin and Panama City over the past six months.
