One of the hardest-hit areas in downtown Mobile was tree-lined Bienville Square, which saw several oak trees and one magnolia fall as a result of Hurricane Sally. 

“Before the storm, we had identified a number of trees that were severely distressed,” Downtown Mobile Alliance spokesperson Carol Hunter said. “I think Mother Nature probably took care of those.”
