FBI Arrests

Multiple individuals accused of being part of a violent Venezuelan gang were arrested during traffic stops in West Mobile earlier this week, according to officials with the FBI Mobile field office.

During a press conference on Thursday, April 11, FBI Mobile Acting Assistant Special Agent in Charge P.J. Lavoie confirmed eight individuals were arrested for their alleged connection with the Tren de Aragua gang as part of a joint operation between the FBI, Homeland Security Investigations, ATG, Border Patrol and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. Six of those arrested are believed to be direct members of the gang, while two others are alleged associates, Lavoie said.
