Mobile City Council 2024

After two years of development, the city of Mobile is preparing to move forward with a housing improvement plan aimed at providing more affordable homes to Port City residents.

On Tuesday, June 10, District 2 City Councilman William Carroll announced the plan has come to fruition and work will soon begin on the first of dozens of affordable homes. The groundbreaking for the first home to be built through the project will be held on June 24 at a property on the corner of State and Congress streets.
