Hidden Agenda

This week my husband and I will celebrate 11 years of wedded bliss. Well, mostly bliss. Like every other married couple, there’s been some blah, too. But isn’t that what true love is really all about? Sticking it out through all of the highs, lows and the stretches of glorious monotony?

Of course, I am happy we can mark another year of not getting divorced, but let’s face it, the 11th anniversary is kind of a dud. It’s not an “0” or a “5,” and when you tell people it’s your 11th, they look bored. Hell, I’m trying to get excited about it myself.
