Spring Hill College senior outfielder Rycca Hinton was selected the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) softball Player of the Year, the league announced this week. Hinton, a former All-State player at Faith Academy, has produced a stellar season for the Badgers. She entered the SIAC tournament this week leading the league in batting average (.382) and home runs (11). She also ranked high in league standings in runs scored (28), runs batted in (27), slugging percentage (.926), hits (26), on-base percentage (.494) and walks (14).
She signed with Southern Miss out of high school, playing he 2022 season with the Golden Eagles. She then transferred to Northwest Florida State for one season before joining the Rams.
