Park Crossing ended McGill-Toolen’s season Wednesday in the Alabama High School Athletic Association (AHSAA) Class 6A girls South Regional basketball tournament title game. Park Crossing used sold play off the bench and took advantage of McGill’s low 25.5 percent shooting from the floor to collect a 56-39 victory and advance to next week’s state semifinal game at Legacy Arena of the Birmingham-Jefferson-Civic Center.

The lead changed only once and the game was tied just two times as Park Crossing built a 17-10 lead in the first quarter and led 27-22 at halftime. It pushed away from McGill comfortably in the second half, outscoring the Yellow Jackets 29-17 over the final two periods.
